For the past twelve years, we have offered four class packages monthly. These classes followed a monthly theme or a BIG topic, encouraging residents to align the subject with their life experiences.
These changes are not just about offering fewer classes. They are about providing a more robust Lifelong Learning and Better Brain Health, Wellness, and Happiness program. This new structure continues a rhythm of learning and discovery while addressing budget and time constraints.
ALLE-Learning™ classes are not your typical lectures. The content is designed to foster engagement and stimulate discussion. Participants are introduced to a new form of learning, where they contribute by recalling past events and learning new and novel information about places, events, and people. Throughout the class, residents are encouraged to align the content with their lives, making the learning experience truly interactive.
ALLE Learning™ topics are not just big, they are full of surprises. Perfect examples are Learning About the Past to Understand the Present, The Cultural Influence of Broadway Musicals, and America’s National Parks. These topics are too large for a single 60-minute session; we break them into individual classes. You might be surprised by what participants find about the topic between classes, which they are always eager to share with the group, adding an element of intrigue and surprise to the learning process.
